Connect ChatGPT to your LinkedIn

Add the API to ChatGPT as a custom connector, pick the right authentication answer, and check in one question that it worked.

ChatGPT reaches outside services through connectors. Adding one takes a URL and about a minute, and afterwards you ask ChatGPT for LinkedIn work in the same words you would use with a person.

Get the address

On the dashboard, create an AI connection. It mints a key and shows the address built around it; choose the all-in-one agent unless you have a reason to narrow it.

https://makehybrid.com/mcp/<your key>

Add it in ChatGPT

Open Settings and look for Connectors — depending on when you are reading this it may be called Apps & Connectors, or Plugins — then for the option to add a custom connector or MCP server. On some plans it sits behind a Developer mode toggle in the same area. Paste the address as the server URL, choose the no-authentication option, and accept the warning it shows about connecting a third-party server.

Written loosely on purpose. OpenAI has moved this setting more than once and it is not offered on every plan, so an exact click-path would be wrong within a month. If you cannot find it at all, your account does not have it — use Claude instead, or call the API from your own code.

Check it

Ask it: list my connected LinkedIn accounts. If it answers with your accounts, everything is wired up. If it says it has no such tool, either the address was pasted short of the key or the connector is added but not switched on in that conversation.

What to ask it next

Questions people ask

Does this work on the free plan?

Custom connectors are not offered on ChatGPT's free tier. What a paid tier gives you varies and OpenAI changes it; if the option is not in your settings, that is what it means.

Will it post without asking me?

Not unless you tell it to. Anything with your name on it is a draft until you say yes, and a content campaign started through the API publishes nothing a person has not approved unless you change that setting yourself.

Can I give it only part of the API?

Yes. Use one of the narrower addresses — /linkedin/mcp/<key> for LinkedIn alone, /inbox/mcp/<key> for the shared inbox — and the connector has only those tools.

Turn this into something that runs itself

Say what your business does and it becomes your own service and product in one: the work runs on its own, under your name, on your accounts and your AI key. The first 30 days are free, and nothing here needs an engineer.
